I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately and wondering how I can get this preamp tone myself. If you listen to Halloween 98 his tone is vastly different and from the videos I’ve seen it looks like the cabinets and the preamp are gone. I’m really curious about what role the preamp plays in his tone.

isn’t the 1996 rig just separate pre-amp and power rack units. Just like inside a head or combo amp, except split into different units> lang cabs. Then he started using the fenders, but would have his old rig there too
